Celebrating the venues that make Tasmania’s hospitality world famous.

Nominations for the 2026 Awards for Excellence have now closed. Tickets are now on sale for our awards evening on Wednesday September 30 at our new location of Mac 02.

FAQ’s

We recognise exceptional experiences offered by all manner of venues, businesses and people in Tasmania. This includes cafés, restaurants, accommodation providers, pubs, sporting clubs, and tourism operators.

In 2025, nominations are again open for individuals (rising star award) as well as venues. You’ll be able to do this through our peer nominated awards.

Entry is free for Hospitality Tasmania members.

A fee of $100 per venue is charged for non-members. You can nominate your venue in as many relevant categories as you like.

Nominees in some categories will be invoiced by HT for the costs of accommodation, food and beverages where required for judging specific criteria.

Venues can be judged any time after receipt of your nomination. A panel of independent judges will judge all award entries.

Awards are judged by site inspection, written submission or both. This can include both website and social media presence.

The chair of judges (in consultation with HT) reserves the right not to accept, or suggest a different category for nominations.

Any questions relating to nominating in this year’s awards can be made by contacting the Hospitality Tasmania Events Team – awards@tha.asn.au
