Tasmania has recorded its best post-Covid accommodation figures for October in a huge boost for the sector leading into the peak season.
The latest Hospitality Tasmania Accommodation Report shows statewide occupancy reached 79.05 per cent, up 3.33 per cent on last year and only 0.75 per cent short of the record October set a decade ago.
It follows the two per cent increase to open spring, providing further momentum for the hospitality industry.
“To come within a fraction of our best October on record shows just how strongly the sector is performing,” Hospitality Tasmania chief executive Steve Old said.
